6 stages: 114 km
This first section of the route from Le Puy-en-Velay to Chasseradès allows you to retrace the journey of the young Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson, who set off on foot in the 19th century with his donkey, Modestine.
Now known as the Stevenson Trail, it offers hikers the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of this adventurer who fell in love with France. You will discover the volcanic landscapes of the Velay, the Gévaudan region and the Cévennes National Park.
The route includes overnight stays in comfortable hotels and guesthouses. We arrange luggage transfers from one stage to the next.
