This alternative route of the Way of St James leads to the remarkable pilgrimage town of Rocamadour, following a different path from the GR65. When you reach Figeac on the Le Puy-en-Velay route, you can choose this beautiful alternative, with three walking stages ranging from 12 to 21 km.

Along the way, discover Lacapelle-Marival and its 13th-century castle, as well as Gramat, a historic town and gateway to the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park. Your journey ends in spectacular Rocamadour, dramatically perched above the Alzou canyon. A wonderful walking adventure through the landscapes and heritage of the Lot!

Stages

Day 1: Figeac

Day 2: Lacapelle-Marival — 20 km | +360 m / −170 m

Day 3: Gramat — 21 km | ±50 m

Day 4: Rocamadour — 12 km | −198 m

Day 5: End of the tour after breakfast in Rocamadour.
