The Way of Le Puy-en-Velay to Conques – Short Walking Stages (8–17 km per day), available as a two-part itinerary.

Formed by lava flows and volcanic activity, the Velay region offers striking and sometimes dramatic landscapes. This route, with its red-and-black architecture and rugged scenery, takes you through a land of legends, from the Allier Gorges through the Gévaudan region to the edge of the Aubrac plateau. We invite you to explore this very popular route in short stages of 8 to 17 km per day, giving you plenty of time to visit the places and villages along the way.

Day 3: Montbonnet – Monistrol | 14 km | +160 m / −90 m

Day 4: Monistrol – Saugues | 13 km

Day 5: Saugues – Le Villeret-d’Apchier | 10.5 km

Day 6: Le Villeret-d’Apchier – Les Faux | 16 km

Day 7: Les Faux – Les Estrets / Bigose | 15 km

Day 8: Les Estrets – Aumont-Aubrac | 8 km

Day 9: Aumont-Aubrac – Prinsuéjols | 16 km

Day 10: Finieyrols – Nasbinals | 11 km

Day 11: Nasbinals – Saint-Chély-d’Aubrac | 17 km
