THE WAY OF ST JAMES - THE PUY EN VELAY WAY
This is the first section of the Le Puy Way itinerary, which is part of the famous Camino de Santiago de Compostela; the Way of Saint James.
This first section of the Camino de Santiago links the historical Le Puy-en-Velay to Aumont-Aubrac. Starting in Auvergne, famous for its volcanoes, the Camino runs through green yet rocky landscapes.
In France the Camino de Santiago is marked as a GR Route with a red and white stripe but also with the yellow shell. It is easy to follow. Your travel information includes a detailed English guidebook and maps making navigation even easier. Although sometime physically demanding, it only requires a reasonable level of fitness.
On this section you will walk from village to village and cross the Velay mounts and the Margeride area known for being a bucolic place
This is a self guided walking tour which means that you will walk on your own with no guide, we take care of your accommodation and luggage transfer.
