This section brings us into traditional and cultivated landscapes. This section of the Camino de Santiago starts in Le Gers département, home to the famous Armagnac brandy. Approaching Aire-sur-l’Adour, the landscape slowly changes into pinewoods and crop fields as we enter Les Landes.
In France the Camino de Santiago is marked as a GR Route with a red and white stripe. It is easy to follow and your holiday pack includes detailed walking notes and maps making navigation even easier. Although sometime physically demanding, it only requires a reasonable level of fitness. Moreover, if you feel tired and need a rest, you often will find bars and restaurants along the way.
