Self-Guided Walking with Luggage Transfer – Price per Person, Double Room, Hotels and Guesthouses, Half-Board
6 stages: 138 km
Starting from Le Puy-en-Velay along the GR65, this self-guided walking tour follows the Way of St James through the historic Rouergue region, from Conques to Cahors, over six walking stages averaging around 20 km per day.
From the remarkable Romanesque Abbey of Sainte-Foy in Conques to the lush, green countryside around Figeac, the landscape gradually changes into the limestone plateau of the Causse de Limogne, characterised by its traditional dry-stone walls. The River Lot is a constant companion along the way, crossing your path four times and remaining close throughout much of the journey.
The ancient Roman road linking Caylus to Cahors was successively known as the Cami Gasco and the Cami Ferrat. Following this historic route, you will reach a bend in the River Lot and the charming city of Cahors.
