Self-Guided Walking – Vézelay Route – Périgueux to La Réole

Starting in the heart of the White Périgord, the route winds through broad valleys of meadows. Picturesque stone huts known as bories and traditional washhouses dot the way. Around a spring or at the edge of a wood, this region, one of the oldest inhabited in Europe, may reveal its secrets. Discover the Isle Valley around Mussidan and the Entre-Deux-Mers region, where chestnut trees give way to maritime pines and mountain breezes are replaced by ocean air.

The Stages

• Day 1: Périgueux

• Day 2: Saint Astier 21.5 km with a morning transfer

• Day 3: Mussidan 25 km with a morning transfer

• Day 4: Sainte-Foy-la-Grande – 33 km or 24 km with a morning transfer

• Day 5: Coutures-sur-Drot – 35 km or 22 km with a morning transfer

• Day 6: La Réole – 20 km

• Day 7: End of our services after breakfast
